your body has a story
you have a story about your body
A 14-week guided journey back into your body led by Ailey Jolie
JOIN INBODY - January 2026
If the phrase "listen to your body" sounds more like a riddle than advice, this program was created for you.
Maybe you've wondered whether you're being led by intuition or misled by anxiety. Maybe you've felt the gap between your body's instinctive reactions and your mind's calculated logic, leaving you asking, "What should I do next?" Maybe you've struggled to feel your body's hunger, thirst, pain, or desire, unable to decipher what you truly need to feel full and whole. Or maybe you're asking yourself right now: "What does being 'in my body' even mean?" If this is you, you are not alone.
As women, we are conditioned from a young age to distrust or ignore our bodies' signals. We learn to prioritize productivity over presence. To pretend our pain isn't there. To shame ourselves for wanting what we want. To suppress our desires for pleasure in favour of pleasing other people.
The most damaging conditioning we receive is the belief that how our bodies appear to others and serve others is more important than how it feels to live within our one and only body. When we distrust, ignore, and ultimately disconnect from our bodies, every single area of our lives suffers. We all suffer.
Disembodiment is what keeps us numb, detached, and stuck, repeating patterns that no longer serve us.
Disembodiment is why we stay in relationships that deplete us instead of inspire us. It's why we push past physical pain to present as perfect. It's why we eat when we aren't hungry or skip meals when we desperately need nourishment. It's why we overlook the early signs of illness until it's too late. It's what dulls our ability to meet our own needs and recognize our deepest desires.
Disembodiment is what will lead you to wake up one morning asking yourself, "How did I end up here?"
Here's what no one tells you: disembodiment is a byproduct of the world we both call home. A world structured to keep us confined within our minds and disconnected from deeply knowing that our body is a place no one else can ever truly go, a place only we can ever fully know, a place that holds the wisdom needed to create our most fulfilling life.
SEVEN MODULES.
SEVEN STORIES.
Module One
Your Body, Society's Story
We begin where the story began, not with you, but with the culture that shaped you. How capitalist, colonial, and patriarchal forces have distorted your understanding of the body. This is where disembodiment begins.
Module Two
Your Body, The Lineage Story
The stories inherited from mothers, fathers, grandmothers, and unnamed ancestors. Patterns, permissions, silences, and survival. Holding both the grief and the gifts of what was passed down.
Module Three
Your Body, The Food & Weight Story
How your body has been measured, managed, and moralized. Untangling beliefs around thinness, control, health, and hunger through a weight-inclusive lens.
Module Four
Your Body, The Relationship Story
Love, longing, and attachment. How romantic and relational experiences have left somatic imprints. Understanding how your body learned to guard, reach, fawn, or disappear.
Module Five
Your Body, The Stuff Inside Story
The emotions, memories, and sensations that remain stored in your body. Meeting the unfinished stories still held within. Not forcing release, but finally having space to stay.
Module Six
Your Body, The Pleasure Story
Pleasure as a form of remembering. Exploring pleasure's role in well-being, and the shame, silence, and scripts that often surround it.
Module Seven
Your Body, Your Story (A Revision)
Where authorship returns to your hands. Writing a new body story rooted in truth, integrity, and choice.
LIVE SESSIONS & COMMUNITY
This is not a program you move through alone.
Each week includes live Q&A sessions with Ailey where you can bring your questions, your stuckness, your experiences. You'll also have access to a private community of women moving through this material alongside you. Most women find it powerful to learn that others are navigating similar struggles, and to hear the creative ways they are showing up for themselves amidst the chaos of their lives.
When you enrol in the course you have access to all LIVE call offerings because we know schedules change.
Please note: The May 2026 cohort will follow the same call timings beginning on May 11, 2026 and ending on August 16, 2026.

This is an investment in yourself. Not in fixing what's 'broken' but in remembering and returning to the wisdom within.
This isn't a course you consume. It's a process you live held by a seasoned somatic psychologist, guest teachers, live sessions, and a community of women walking alongside you.

We are happy to help you decide if this is right for you.
I know what it feels like to be a stranger in your own skin.
To keep going, keep functioning, keep showing up, while some part of you isn't really there. To read all the books and try all the practices and still feel like you're watching your own life from somewhere far away.
I came to the practices of both psychotherapy and later somatics because I needed both equally. I spent years confused, overwhelmed, and lost trying to understand the sensations of my body. I didn't understand how I could feel so numb at certain moments and so flooded at others. How I could crave closeness and then feel myself leave the moment anyone got too near. I had experiences early in my life that taught me my body was not safe to inhabit. And I spent a long time believing that if I just understood enough, read enough, tried hard enough, I could think my way back home.
I couldn't. The body doesn't work that way. Coming home isn't an intellectual project. It's a felt one.
I hold two Master's degrees: one in Counselling Psychology, one in Depth Psychology with an emphasis in Somatic Studies. I completed a certificate in Trauma Recovery through Harvard Medical School. I'm a Chartered Psychologist, a Registered Clinical Counsellor, and a Certified Sex Therapist. I've trained extensively in Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Jungian depth work. I'm currently writing my first book on feminist somatic psychology.
I created INBODY because I kept having the same conversations in my practice. I was sharing things with women that they had never encountered in any of the books they were reading. Women were getting fragments when they deserved the whole picture. I wanted to build something that held the complexity. The somatic psychology, the interpersonal neurobiology, and the intersectional feminism and the felt experience, all of it together.

The wellness industry has capitalized on women's disconnection from their bodies. Wearable devices claim to help you "connect" by tracking everything you once had the capacity to sense intuitively. These gadgets push you further into your head, reinforcing the very disconnection they aim to solve.
The somatic practices that have made its way into mainstream wellness has been flattened. Stripped of its depth. Reduced to shaking practices and breathwork and the promise that if you just regulate hard enough, you'll finally feel okay. The truth is, most of the products and experiences marketed by the wellness industry promise connection, but in reality, they perpetuate the very disconnection they claim to solve. None of us can simply shake or exhale away a story that is woven into the fabric of our psyches.
INBODY is different. It addresses the root causes of disconnection and provides a path to reclaim the body as a source of wisdom. Along with practical tools for reconnecting with the body, it encourages critical reflection on the larger forces shaping the relationship with one home you will ever home, your body.
